Gaming service Steam has suffered a major outage coinciding with the start of its massive winter sales. This was reported by the SHOT Telegram channel.

According to sources, this service has stopped working worldwide, including Russia. The disruption began immediately after the start of the winter sale – around 21:00 Moscow time. Currently, users are having difficulty connecting and operating the store and other Steam services.

Note that such problems are not uncommon for services – they arise at the beginning of every major sale. It is believed that the problem is due to the large number of players. It is not yet known when Steam will be restored.
