At CES 2025, Sony has new technology that allows you to immerse yourself in games as much as possible.

This is the Future Immersive Entertainment Concept.

In theory, players will find themselves in a room where each wall is lined with Sony Crystal LED panels. There is surround sound, tactile sensations, effects, including the ability to smell.

During the concept show, players immersed themselves in the world of The Last of Us. They are even given simulated weapons to shoot on-screen enemies.

This technology can be very expensive and difficult to implement, so it is unlikely that similar spaces will appear around the world anytime soon. Sony will likely introduce this idea to other franchises like God of War and Horizon in the future.
