A fake version of Baldur's Gate 3 for iPhone and iPad has appeared on the App Store, which steals users' personal information and tries to get money from them. This was reported by the AppleInsider portal.
It should be noted that the fake game is available for free download, but after installation, users are asked to register for $30, and after payment nothing happens.
It is also important to note that even uninstalling an application immediately after installation does not prevent the collection of information about the user, including his or her IP address. Therefore, experts advise you not to download this and similar applications even out of curiosity.
Gazeta.Ru reporters could not detect fake games in the App Store. Apple has probably removed this application. However, it is unknown how it got there and passed censorship.
Baldur's Gate 3 was never released for mobile devices. Larian Studios has no plans to port the game to smartphones and tablets. The project is only officially available on macOS on devices with an Apple M1 chip or higher, Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Baldur's Gate 3 is a computer role-playing game by Belgian studio Larian Studios, based on the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop role-playing game. The project received much praise from critics and players, and won many awards and became the first game in history to win an award in the category “Game of the Year” at 5 industry-leading awards ceremonies: Golden Joystick Awards, The Game Awards, DICE Awards, Game Developers' Choice Awards and BAFTA Game Awards.
