The Hospital Authority today announced that an additional 14 vending machines will be installed to distribute specimen collection packs at general outpatient clinics (GOPCs) in the coming week starting from tomorrow for greater convenience in COVID-19 testing.
It increased the number of vending machines to assist people who perceive themselves to have a higher risk of exposure and who experience mild discomfort to undergo a COVID-19 test.
The authority had earlier piloted the use of vending machines in distributing specimen collection packs in three GOPCs with satisfactory results in the trial run.
One of newly added vending machines will be installed at North Lantau Community Health Centre, bringing the number of GOPCs distributing specimen collection packs to 47.
