Polish actress Miroslava Markheluk, who became famous for her role in the cult comedy of the 1980s “The New Amazons” or “Sexmission”, has died at the age of 86. This was reported by the portal news filmpolski.pl.

The artist died on January 7. But Markhelyuk's relatives and friends have only announced his death so far, without giving the cause of his death. The news portal still does not know where and when the artist's funeral will take place.

Markheluk was born in 1939 in Bialystok. In her filmography, she has more than 70 projects. She made her film debut in 1958. In 1960, Markheluk graduated from the School of Cinema, Theater and Television in Lodz. She was a theater actress in Opole from 1960 to 1962. From 1990, she became director of the New Theater and also taught at the College of Cinema.

In the Soviet Union, she became famous after the release of the comedy “New Amazons” in 1984. Markhelyuk also starred in films such as “Jack of Spades”, “The Murder of an Aunt”, “I Died to Live “, “After My Own Funeral” and “Voice from the Other World”.
