Named leader in the industrial robot market

According to media journalists, China has become the world leader in industrial robot production, after a giant leap. Previously at the International Robot Federation Singapore and Korea.

The document says that 10 years ago, China was lagging behind in the industrial robot market, but now the country is named one of the industry leaders. According to experts, the breakthrough is partly due to the government's well-funded “Made in China 2025” program. In addition, the Corona virus pandemic and supply chain disruptions have forced Chinese industry to actively introduce robots into production.

“Chinese companies will change the robotics industry in Europe and the US,” said Georg Stieler, an expert at Stieler Technology & Marketing Consulting.

According to him, local companies have learned to produce robots much cheaper and faster than manufacturers from Japan and Europe.

China is also actively acquiring foreign businesses involved in robot development. The most famous example is Midea Corporation's 2016 acquisition of the German company Kuka, one of the four major robot manufacturers.

In mid-November, Chinese company China Electronics Technology Group (CETC) introduced a robot fighting dog. The machine is capable of carrying weapons and other robots.
