Specialists from the city services complex have begun installing architectural and artistic lighting equipment on the Zhivopisny bridge in the northwest of the capital. Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing, Social Services and Improvement Pyotr Biryukov told reporters about this.

“All the capital's main bridges are equipped with architectural and artistic lighting systems, which highlight their architectural elements and create beautiful visual images of the architectural works. We started equipping the Zhivopisny bridge across the Moscow River with lighting, which has long been one of the city's landmarks,” Biryukov said.

The Deputy Mayor explained that the work is planned to install lighting equipment inside and at the base of the structure's stay.

“UEC Joint Stock Company's electrical engineers will install a total of more than 400 LED lighting devices with a capacity of 150 to 200 Watts with warm white and neutral tones, simulating natural light. When performing work, we use Russian-made lighting equipment,” said Pyotr Biryukov.

The head of the city services complex emphasized that LED lights turn on instantly, their service life is about 50 thousand hours – that is, 12 years of continuous operation. At the same time, they are environmentally friendly, easy to recycle, can reduce energy consumption by 30% and reduce the load on the power grid.
