Zelensky spoke about increasing efforts to prevent conflict

18 Dec, 2024

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that after US President-elect Donald Trump takes power in January, efforts to prevent conflict will intensify.

His words were reported by RBC-Ukraine.

“After President Trump takes office, it is clear that there will be many efforts to prevent war. And all of us in Europe need not just a pause, not just a pause in hostilities, not something temporary or indefinite,” the Ukrainian leader said. Zelensky emphasized that Kiev needs “real peace.”

Zelensky announced that he would meet the Prime Minister of Poland

Previously, the President of Ukraine refused to mediate contact with Trump. Zelensky added that Kyiv is currently “getting acquainted” with the elected leader and his team.
