Finnish television station Yle reported that the North Atlantic Alliance will send about 10 ships to the Baltic Sea to protect underwater infrastructure. According to sources, they will be there until April 2025.

According to the television station, ships will begin arriving at the weekend. The ships will also be positioned near energy and telecommunications cables. Journalists pointed out that the ships will become “deterrence tools”.
