Zakharova believes that Moscow's reaction to the EU's 15th sanctions package will not be long in coming
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the European Union's next 15th anti-Russian sanctions package is illegal and Moscow's reaction will not be long in coming.
“These measures are illegal, essentially illegal,” the diplomat said. They target both Russian and foreign economic operators and public figures.

EU foreign ministers finally approved the 15th sanctions package against Russia on December 16. It includes economic and personal restrictive measures.
Restrictions were introduced on the energy resource transport fleet, as well as restrictive measures on 54 individuals and 30 companies from Russia, China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
In addition, the EU added journalist Tina Kandelaki and singer Larisa Dolina to the sanctions list for “destabilizing actions” against Europe and third countries. In addition, 14 more individuals were also subject to sanctions, including political scientist Timofey Bordachev and several businessmen.
